last saturday morning
here are some pictures from saturday morning. i was having some time alone, and i drove by a swamp on my way to the library. i thought it looked interesting and stopped the car. there was nobody else there, so i got out and walked around a little. i eventually made my way to the very edge of the swamp, and found a little mossy clearing. i stayed there, squatting, just looking over the water and listening to the incredible sound of birds, frogs, and many other creatures i could not identify, all mixed together. it was so peaceful and soothing. i love being by myself in silence, but when i hear the sounds of Nature, i love it even better. it just makes me feel so... outside myself, and it reminds me that i'm part of something so much bigger, and that feeling is very freeing.

peace

I love the first picture, especially all the little water droplets on the branches.
yeah, me too. i loved them when i was there but was not hoping for too much with the picture. but it seems they came out anyway. and i love the tree, how twisted and gnarled it is, and how beautiful.
