Got a new kitten, planned a new trip

The kitty was Aiyana's graduation present. The trip is for all of us.

Today, Aiyana and I took my parents to the stunning Elizabeth Rose Garden in Hartford.

All is not peaches and roses yet, as I try to let go of the stresses I've accumulated over the last 3 years and allow myself to rest. But I'm trying and I have some avenues to help myself let go: books, a sweet little spot in the woods, and playing tennis, which I recently picked up.

Big day: Aiyana's highschool graduation 🎓

Today is Aiyana's graduation day! We are so proud of her!!! She completed high school and finished this semester with As in all her classes, including in Calc 2, which is a college level class. And beyond the grades, we're just so proud of the amazing person she is. The world is full of possibilities for her!

Also today, I have completed my 3rd year of teaching (4th if I include my IA experience)! I am so grateful that I chose this path. It's not easy, like any other occupation, but for me, it's been very rewarding. I've learned so much and built some great connections with students and colleagues. I'm looking forward to more to come, and I'm excited for next year, refining my aerospace course, teaching physics again, and AP research.
