what we've been up to...

this past wednesday it was cold out but the sun was shining. sena really wanted to go for a picnic, because she wanted to pack her own lunch and a tablecloth in her backpack. aiyana, of course, wanted the same thing. so i though, why not? we went to mansfield hollow, and found a nice spot by the lake, in the sun. they took out their backpacks, spread their cloths on the sand, and had a little snack of cashews and raisins; they were very proud to have orchestrated the entire thing by themselves. it was all very sweet...

another day, they got dressed up with different scarves and random pieces of material found around the house, and put on an impromptu show for me. it was very beautiful, with dancing, singing, and lots of free play...
