Just because we can name things, doesn't mean we really understand them. When you look at a tree, a bird, or anything else, and you say the word "tree" or "bird" to yourself, and now you think you know, do you really?
Words are obviously very useful, but if we stop there, thinking we understand something just because we can name it, we risk staying at a very superficial level, not knowing anything at all.
