after the rain

last friday our friends anita and brian got hale the size of golf balls and it damaged most of their vegetables. it's so hard when that happens. i felt sad for them, and it was a good lesson for us, to know that this is part of farming and there's nothing you can do about it. all your hard work could be wiped out in minutes.
we didn't get any hale at our house this time, just some heavy rain, and then a gorgeous sky and double rainbow.
