more for mamaia

i've been thinking about mamaia a lot this week: when i saw the big maple in front of our house open up her leaves in a burst of green, within the span of only a few hours; when i heard the hawks' and the mourning dove's cries; when i lay down with the kids for a nap; at night when everyone else was sleeping; when i hung the laundry; when i cooked; when i've been upset at ed (we've been having difficulties in the past couple of days)....

on thursday, i went back into the woods, at the spot where i left the food (after the ritual my sister and i held); the banana and chocolates were gone. the tangerine was still there. hmmm...i was actually wondering if she'd like the tangerine. i guess the creatures of the woods don't like it either.

i went back to the same spot yesterday, to make another small offering. i needed to do something tangible for mamaia, and this is the only thing i could think of. this time, i brought her 2 cloves of garlic. she used to pop garlic into her mouth like candy; i'll go back there today to see what happened.

the following pictures are also for her.
this one is from the ritual my sister and i held in her honor, showing the setup we had:

and here is thinking of her on a perfect day:

peace
